Big, powerful consumer tech and OTT firms view connected cars and fully autonomous vehicles as another platform for their digital services – and a revenue-generating opportunity. Their goal is to integrate their services into connected cars and pull consumers more deeply into their ecosystem.
Auto OEMs are having to innovate in ways they have not done so before to reassess what their value proposition means to consumers and how this is changing. This is not an easy process, but auto OEMs are proving to be open minded, agile, and willing to embrace transformation.
