Most public cloud strategies focus on cost reduction or cost efficiencies. They need to deal with new complexities. This reports looks at costs, pricing, and licensing issues for various types of public clouds, as well as private clouds. 
Release 2 of Microsoft's Hyper-V hypervisor is a major update, and makes the virtualization platform suitable for a much wider range of mid-range deployments. However, Hyper-V still does not match the functionality of its VMware and Citrix equivalents.
