Marcela Sirio, Research Analyst
Marcela Sirio is a Research Analyst for Ovum's regulatory practice. Prior to joining the regulatory team Marcela worked as a Junior Consultant at Ovum Consulting.
Her recent work includes Brazil and Portugal country regulatory overview reports, and mapping the telecoms market structure in Bahrain, the UK and Greece in a benchmark report that investigated issues of market definition and market power in Saudi Arabia.
Marcela has also researched major pay-TV players in Brazil, mobile pricing across Latin America, business integration between the fixed and mobile businesses of European operators, and satellite offerings in Africa. She has also conducted primary research on the distribution strategies of European mobile operators.
Prior to joining Ovum, Marcela worked as a trainee for Arnaud & Co, a mergers and acquisitions boutique specialising in telecommunications transactions.
Marcela holds a BSc in International Relations from Pontificia Universidade Catolica de Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo, Brazil and is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English.
