Timothy Stammers, Senior Analyst

Timothy Stammers is senior analyst at Ovum. In his role as part of Ovum's IT team, Tim focuses on storage and infrastructure issues in the IT industry and regularly covers the activities and initiatives of major storage service providers and vendors in the storage and infrastructure space, including IBM, HP, EMC, Symantec and Hitachi, among others.

Before joining Ovum in January 2008, Tim Stammers was storage practice senior analyst and bureau chief for ComputerWire in New York City. He has fifteen years' experience as an IT journalist, and has written for Computing Magazine (the UK's highest-circulated trade publication) and PC Week. Prior to his career in journalism, Tim was a development engineer at Rolls-Royce, and a mainframe systems engineer for the London Electricity Board.

Tim holds a BSc (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from City University, London and an MSc in Applied Computing from Middlesex University.
