 Adam Leach, Principal AnalystAdam is a principal analyst within Ovum's Consumer practice. Adam has had over 13 years' experience within the wireless industry. His work has focused on software platforms for next-generation devices, and he has worked with handset manufacturers, platform vendors and operators, advising on software strategy and device software projects. His research at Ovum covers the handset market and adjacent consumer electronics markets, with a focus on technology trends for software platforms, semiconductors, developer ecosystems and Internet convergence. Adam previously worked for Vodafone, defining global technology strategies within group terminals. He was responsible for the establishment and technical leadership of the Linux Mobile (LiMo) Foundation, and for Vodafone's three-year Terminal Technology Roadmap. He also worked on driving industry standards for mobile application security within the GSMA and OMTP. Adam has also worked for Symbian, managing the release of Symbian OS versions and leading device software projects for Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Panasonic. Prior to this he worked as a software engineer for Psion Software and Logica. Adam holds a first-class BSc honours degree in Computer Science from Queen Mary and Westfield College, University of London.
