Peter Mackie, Head of Regulatory & Policy Practice

Peter is a Consulting Director at Ovum and is Head of the Regulatory and Policy Practice. Based in London, Peter has over 30 years of international experience in telecommunications both in consulting and in an operator environment.

He is an experienced team leader, project manager and international negotiator and has led many projects both in the regulatory and commercial areas.

Prior to joining Ovum in 2006, Peter was Vice President, Business Development, BT Global Services, where he was responsible for all international M&A activity. Peter was also Director of BT's Brussels Office for four years, where he managed relationships with the European Commission and led BT's regulatory team in Europe. As well as his consulting and BT experience, Peter has been a Board member of Cegetel/SFR (the no. 2 fixed and mobile operator in France) and of INET, a web-hosting company in Italy.

Peter has a BA in Modern Languages from the University of Leicester and speaks French.
