Iris Lapinski, Consultant

Iris Lapinski is a consultant in Ovum's Telecoms Consulting group, based in London. Iris has experience in the media and financial services sectors. Her interests include new media and mobile content, and disruptive fixed and wireless business models.

Prior to joining Ovum, Iris worked as an analyst for Dexia Asset Management in Belgium. She covered European and North-American telecoms, media and technology mid and large caps, and her work focused in particular on the convergence of media and telecoms business models and the social and economic impact of telecommunications.

Since joining Ovum Iris has been involved in a variety of projects, including:

• a digital media strategy for a South African public service broadcaster
• due diligence of a group of Sub-Saharan mobile and fixed operators
• an assessment of the impact of data services on mobile networks
• a mobile service provider business plan focused on the high-end youth segment for a Middle-Eastern market.
