 Stewart Anderton, Principal ConsultantStewart Anderton has extensive experience of the telecommunications industry and specialises in the impact of emerging technologies on operators and service providers. He consults primarily in the areas of telco network and service strategy, business plan development, emerging IP services and operational support systems - with clients in European, Asia-Pacific and US. Recent consulting assignments include: - For the ODTR, to report on the broadband access technologies relevant to the wide-scale deployment of broadband access in Ireland, modelling the costs of providing access at different speeds
- Cost modelling of fixed, point-to-point terrestrial radio systems, satellite systems and fixed network alternatives
- Project management of studies for major fibre network operators, developing business plans to support financing of the projects
- Project director of major studies into operator strategies for evolution from established network to next generation IP networks
- Advice to the investment community, vendors and operators on the changing structure of the telecommunications industry.
Stewart is also the lead author of the report IP: the Impact on Telco Services and Revenues (1998). Stewart has a BSc from the University of Bradford in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 1974, an MSc in Telecommunications Technology from Aston University in 1979 and is a member of the IEE.
