Jane Parry, Senior Consultant

Jane is a senior consultant in Ovum's Consulting Group and has 9 years' experience in the telecommunications industry.

Since joining Ovum, Jane has managed a number of consultancy projects including:

• a news and commentary service for a UK operator, focusing on communications needs in the public sector. This project has since been extended to cover the private sector, as well as government
• a market analysis and benchmark of the broadband market for consumers and SMEs within Europe, for a European regulator. This has been carried out for the last 4 years
• a strategic competitor analysis of 5 key UK ISPs
• a mobile billing market awareness survey for a global billing vendor
• a market analysis of the European market for LAN extension services, for a major European operator
• an analysis of best practice of supplier portals for a major incumbent in Europe
• a leased line and interconnect link benchmark for an African operator. A similar project was also prepared for a major UK operator
• a Best Practice benchmark covering 6 global carriers
• a European face-to-face interview programme to establish the views and concerns of 4 major incumbents relating to a major vendor
• a product and service assessment for a utility company hoping to break into the telecoms market in the UK.

Before joining Ovum, Jane worked as Marketing Manager at GN Comtext. Prior to that, she spent over 3 years at Ericsson as Marketing Consultant, focusing on the BT account. Jane's responsibilities included a combination of strategy, marketing communications, market research and analysis.

Jane holds a master's degree in European Public Administration from Liverpool University and a postgraduate diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing
