 Daryl Inniss, VP and Practice LeaderDaryl Inniss has 20 years of experience in the optoelectronics industry. He is responsible for Ovum's components research, which focuses on optical components for telecommunications and enterprise networks, components for video transmission including video optics and IPTV, and components for emerging access networks including the passive optical network (PON) variants. Daryl's recent research areas include components and modules for 10 and 40 Gbps transmission, optical components in enterprise, including parallel optics, and reconfigurable optical add/drop multiplexers (ROADMs). Daryl also analyzes the telecoms industry food chain, develops forecasts and analyzes industry market dynamics. Before joining Ovum RHK, Daryl worked for JDS Uniphase as Technical Manager for raman amplifier development. Previously, he spent 11 years at Bell Laboratories/Lucent, conducting research on optical fibers, fiber lasers and high-power fiber amplifiers.
