Ian Charlesworth, Principal Analyst

Ian is a principal analyst at Ovum, where he leads research on integration.

Respected as a thought leader on business intelligence and integration technologies, Ian is one of the most widely quoted analysts in the industry. Prior to joining Ovum Ian worked at the Butler Group for six years, where he covered business intelligence and integration, serving a client base that included SME organisations, multinationals and government/public sector bodies.

Ian's role consisted of both research and consulting engagements, including working with venture capitalists to do SWOT analyses on target clients, as well as working with European systems integrators offering strategic advice on investment in new markets.

Ian holds an MSc in Management Science and Operational Research (Warwick Business School) and a BSc in Applied Physics (Warwick University).
