Kate Hanaghan is a member of Ovum's IT services practice and her expertise is focused on companies providing infrastructure and outsourcing services. Kate is a core contributor to Ovum's Market Trends research, analysing trends in the market and forecasting its development. She is also responsible for tracking UK IT services M&A activity and trends and is lead author of Industry Dynamics.

Kate has recently published research into supplier mid-market strategies, and continues to follow specialist interest areas, such as IT skills issues in global sourcing.

Kate is often quoted in the UK IT trade press and regularly carries out bespoke advisory work for Ovum customers.

Prior to joining Ovum, Kate worked as a journalist and editor at silicon.com. Kate has a BA (Hons) in History from the University of Gloucestershire.
