Marta Muñoz Méndez-Villamil, Service Manager

Marta is a principal analyst and the service manager of Ovum's WirelineStrategy@Ovum advisory service. Marta leads a team of analysts providing strategic advice to wireline and wireless vendors and operators, which includes some of the largest players in the world. The service provides strategic analysis of industry and product trends, evaluations of the strategy of major players, and reports with advice on making the most of emerging opportunities.

Marta has an in-depth understanding of the competitive strategies of key wireless and wireline service providers and has substantial experience in advising major operators on key strategic issues.

Marta's recent work includes:

• workshops and presentations on customer retention strategies in emerging and matured markets
• reports on defensive strategies for operators in matured markets
• several studies on the impact of innovative pricing on mobile operators.

Fluent in Spanish, Marta has written extensively on the Spanish and Latin American telecommunications sector, and is an expert on the lessons other markets can learn from advanced markets.

Prior to her work at Ovum, Marta worked for the UK-based telecoms consultancy Netcom Consultants. She also worked for the Spanish telecommunications operator Telefónica in Madrid. Marta has a degree in Economics from the University of Madrid.
