Dr Eric Woods, Government Practice Director

Eric Woods is Director of Ovum's Government Practice.

In this role, Eric is responsible for directing Ovum's research into government IT issues, providing advice to Ovum's government and public sector clients, and supporting our services to software and IT services companies targeting the government market. He is Service Director of PublicSector@Ovum.

Eric was previously director of Ovum's information management research. During his eleven years with Ovum, he has been responsible for numerous Ovum reports, including Knowledge Management: Building the Collaborative Enterprise and Enterprise Architecture: a framework for government modernisation.

Eric writes regularly for leading IT publications and is a regular presenter at conferences and events. He has worked on consultancy assignments with a wide range of Ovum clients in both the public and private sectors. Before joining Ovum he worked for four years in government IT as a project manager and application developer.
