Jan Dawson, VP, US Enterprise Practice

Jan Dawson is VP of Ovum's US Enterprise Practice, and is based in Northern New Jersey, focusing on the North American and global enterprise markets.

In his role, Jan leads Ovum's research on enterprise network services in North America. As well as conducting research and authoring reports, he works directly with clients to help them implement the strategies recommended in Ovum's research. Jan regularly contributes reports to Ovum's enterprise advisory services, IP-Enterprise@Ovum and EnterpriseMobility@Ovum, which provide analysis of industry and product trends, and advice for enterprise service providers and vendors. He also leads Ovum's wireline strategy research in North America.

Although Jan has a broad remit within the enterprise market, he focuses particularly on enterprise IP telephony and VoIP, as well as enterprise mobility and fixed-mobile convergence. He authors Ovum's annual report on the state of the MNC market, and has also authored a number of reports on VoIP, as well as profiles and case studies of the major North American players.

Jan's previous experience within Ovum includes stints as service manager of the WirelineStrategy@Ovum and Interconnect@Ovum advisory services, where he gained valuable insight and experience in the fields of regulation and wireline service provider strategies.

Jan's expertise on the enterprise market is widely recognised in the industry and he is frequently quoted in the press on issues facing enterprises and their providers.
