Christopher Harris-Jones, Principal Analyst

Chris is a Principal Analyst within Ovum's Technology Group, and plays a leading role in Information Management Technologies as both an analyst and consultant. With over 20 years' experience in the IT industry working for systems integrators and consultancies, he contributes to a wide range of Ovum's research and consulting projects.

Chris writes analysis for the Software@Ovum advisory service and contributes to Ovum's Workplace topic. He has substantial expertise in many areas including knowledge management, content management, portals and collaboration technologies. He has extensive practical experience in software development and consulting in advanced technologies.

Consulting projects at Ovum include both technology-focused assignments and strategic business consulting, such as executive-level software briefings, developing strategic plans for IT implementation, advising on software selection and evaluating product development strategies.

Chris speaks widely at conferences and seminars, and is regularly quoted in trade journals and the national press. He is the author of a book on knowledge-based systems, and his articles appear in a wide range of leading IT journals.

He has an MSc in Intelligent Systems and an MBA in Technology Management.
