Michele Mackenzie, Service Manager and Practice Leader

Michele Mackenzie is Service Manager for the WirelessMultimedia@Ovum advisory service and Practice Leader for Ovum's Consumer Practice. The WirelessMultimedia service offers strategic advice to over 50 clients. Michele has over seven years' experience in the telecoms industry, specialising in mobile communications and wireless Internet. As Service Manager for WirelessMultimedia@Ovum, Michele is responsible for developing the service to cover emerging wireless data services and ensuring that we deliver in-depth qualitative and quantitative analysis to our clients.

In addition to her management responsibilities, Michele is a Senior Analyst with topic expertise in the areas of wireless content and entertainment. Recent projects include:

• Mobile music analysis 2005 and 2006

This includes analysis of key players in the market, the business models, the value chain and the convergence of online and wireless services

• Wireless content value chain analysis
• Wireless multimedia connections and revenues forecasts (ongoing)

Prior to joining WirelessMultimedia@Ovum, Michele worked for Ovum's wireless consulting group as a Senior Consultant, where she managed and provided strategic advice on a number of projects including working with ASETA (Asociación de Empresas de Telecomunicaciones de la Comunidad Andina) to manage a 3G public consultation process for the Venezuelan telecommunications regulator, CONATEL, and conducting competitor analysis for a global messaging vendor, evaluating the major vendors in the SMS and multimedia messaging markets.

Michele has spoken at a number of industry events on the wireless multimedia topic area.
