Ovum today announced its preliminary quarterly results for global 2Q08 DSL and CMTS port shipments. "The top three DSL vendors, which combined hold more than 70% market share, all achieved double-digit quarterly growth, negating the dip in global shipments we saw in 1Q08," said Tanya Harris, Senior Analyst at Ovum. Alcatel-Lucent, which shipped 7.7 million DSL ports during the quarter, claimed a 35% market share on a rolling four-quarter basis, followed by Huawei (27%), ZTE (12%), Nokia Siemens Networks (5%), and Ericsson (5%).
