 Jan Dawson, Practice Leader, Operations, Wholesale & Regulatory practice
Jan Dawson is practice leader for Ovum's Operations, Wholesale & Regulation practice, and is based in northern New Jersey. In this role Jan oversees Ovum's research teams covering wireline service provider strategy, wholesale services and telecoms regulation. He has previously managed both Ovum's wireline strategy and regulation advisory services. Jan has written extensively on wireline strategy topics such as company structures, fixed-mobile convergence, bundling, broadband and enterprise services, and also on regulatory topics such as interconnection, local loop unbundling and net neutrality. As well as conducting research and authoring reports, Jan works directly with clients to help them implement the strategies recommended in Ovum's research. He has several years of experience in advising some of Ovum's largest clients, including BT, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, Orange, Cisco, Avaya, Global Crossing and others. Most recently he was responsible for Ovum's enterprise telecoms research in North America, focusing particularly on IP telephony, enterprise mobility and unified communications. Jan's expertise on the telecoms market is widely recognised in the industry and he is frequently quoted in the press on a variety of subjects.
